Exports of goods from Belarus to Russia rose 21.4% in the January-July period of 2003 as compared with the same period the year before, Rosbalt has been informed by the Belarus Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
For the first seven months of this year, Belarus delivered to Russia goods worth USD 2.5979 billion, or 46.7% of all Belarus exports for the period. The same seven months saw a 36.4% rise in Belarus imports from Russia. Belarus imports from Russia constitute 66.7% of the nation's total imports.
Belarus' trade deficit with Russia for the seven-month period was USD 1.5543 billion.
