Results are in for the West Virginia primary. With 100% of the precincts reporting, the tally was as follows: Clinton 67% (20 delegates) and Obama 26% (8 delegates). On the Republican side, McCain 76% (9 delegates), Huckabee 10%, Paul 5%.. The results are as predicted since the state is primarily comprised of the sort of voters that Clinton has been drawing: white, low income and less educated.

A 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck southwest China Monday afternoon, and was centered in Sichuan province. It struck in the middle of the school day, 2:30 p.m. local time, and toppled at least eight schools. Factories and one hospital collapsed, trapping hundreds, state media said.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, known for his style of public addresses, has accused German Chancellor Angela Merkel and her party of adhering to extremely rightist ideas. In his address to Venezuela’s government and military leaders Chavez reminded them of the history of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany and stated that Angela Merkel and her proponents are "of those who supported Adolf Hitler and fascism"

Mikhail Gorbachev, the ex-president of the USSR, has accused the USA of the imperialistic conspiracy against Russia, which pushes the world to a new Cold War.
