Environmental campaigners are staging a &to=http://english.pravda.ru/culture/2002/06/25/31056.html' target=_blank>rock concert early next year in Wales to raise awareness of the threat of climate change, organizers said Tuesday.
Rock groups The Darkness, The Strokes and Super Furry Animals will top the bill at the Jan. 28 "One Earth" concert at the Cardiff Millennium Stadium in Wales.
The event, organized by environmental group Climate Change Now, will be broadcast live on the Internet. Organizer Michael Mathres said the concert aimed to raise awareness of renewable energy sources.
"People are genuinely concerned about the effects of &to=http://english.pravda.ru/science/19/94/377/14462_earth.html' target=_blank>climate change, but don't know how easy it is to make a big difference," he said. "The concert will focus attention on the part we can all play in tackling climate change," reports AP.
