Daring scientist plans to take risky flight on solar energy propelled plane

Swiss scientist and adventurer Bertrand Picard on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 prepared for a circumnavigation of the globe in the solar energy powered plane by staring a 25-hour flight in a simulator in a hangar of the airport of Duebendorf, Switzerland. Piccard and his partner Andre Borschberg, CEO of the project, plan the start the for the Solar Impulse Airplane flight in about a year.
