A State, depending on size can have local, regional and national government. There are many types of governments, such as: Monarchy, Despotism, Dictatorship, Oligarchy, Plutocracy, Democracy, Theocracy, and Anarchy. A Government depending on type can by headed by politicians, monarchs, dictators, group of people (families), wealthy class, and religious elite. History does not have the exact date of the formation of the first governments, though; it holds some records of formation of very first governments 3000 years ago.

As we ponder how to confront the newly-created but phony terrorist Islamic Republic of Kosovo's illegal independence, we must first understand exactly why this is such a ridiculous action. Some of the first tests for nationhood include: treatment of minorities and respect for law and meting ofjustice; respect for the property of citizens; economic viability; UN recognition and finally, can the nation defend itself? On all accounts, Kosovo fails miserably.

I read Babu G. Ranganathan’s article in Pravda entitled "Understanding Intelligent Design" with mixed feelings. On the one hand, it’s nice to see free speech and a free press continue to develop in Russia. I greatly admire Pravda for having led the way. Everyone has a right to express opinions, even religious zealots and throw backs to the middle ages. Everyone has the right to be completely wrong again and again, even those who desperately cling to silly old ideas that comfort them and justify bigotry and sexism. I think even neo-fascists have the right to voice their loathsome ideology. But on the other hand, some ideas are downright dangerous
