Southwest Airlines adds 3 new routes

Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV), a Texas-based low-cost airline, announced its plans to expand its service by addition of three new routes.

Starting from August, 4, the company offers nonstop roundtrips to Sacramento, Fort Lauderdale and New Orleans from Denver International Airport.

The Sacramento flight will be available twice a day, while the Fort Lauderdale and New Orleans routes will be flown once daily.

Also the company is going to add a seventh daily nonstop flight between Denver and Phoenix.

Southwest Airlines is the largest airline in the world by number of passengers carried. It is also the 6th largest U.S. airline by revenue.
