Ukraine's Supreme Court today hears the final appeal against last month's presidential election as winner Viktor Yushchenko cut short his Christmas holiday to return to Kiev and choose a new government.

The court has already rejected four other appeals by Yanukovych, who lost on Dec. 26. Judges threw out the original Nov. 21 election, won by Yanukovych, because of fraud.

english.pravda.ru/main/2002/05/27/29324.html ' target=_blank>Leonid Kuchma has signed a decree dismissing the Cabinet of Ministers and instructing its members to continue performing their duties until a new Cabinet starts working, the presidential press service reported on Wednesday evening.
The decree was signed in line with Article 115 of the Ukrainian Constitution, following Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych's resignation, which the president accepted earlier on Wednesday.
Kuchma also appointed First Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Mykola Azarov acting prime minister.
