Chief of the press service of the Russian Space Forces Vyacheslav Davidenko reported that the Russian Space forces would the first and the last to vote at the State Duma elections.

Davidenko reported that they would "start voting in the most remote northeastern settlement of the Asian part of Russia - in Ust-Kamchatskoye when it is 23.00 Moscow time on Saturday and would end one hour after the end of elections in the territory of Russia - in Belarus where the most western Russian military facility is situated, the Volga radar station." About 80,000 officers, their family members and civil personnel are expected to attend polling stations.

Servicemen will vote at 106 polling stations, 12 of which are located in the former soviet republics of Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.

According to a representative of the Baikonur election commission, residents of the city of Baikonur located in the vicinity of the cosmodrome of the same name will vote within the framework of the Odintsovo election district of the Moscow region.

According to him, about 20,000 residents will come to elect State Duma deputies. Servicemen of the Russian Space Forces and their families as well as civil personnel and employees of Rosaviakosmos reside in Baikonur which is located on the territory of Kazakhstan and is leased by Russia.
