Of all the progressive experiences in the Latin America, resulting from the electoral victories of the forces of the left, the one that currently runs the biggest risk of retreat is that of Bolivia. According to countless analysts, the neighboring nation is on the verge of a civil war. The racist oligarchy, which until today did not swallow the historical election of the peasant and aboriginal leader, Evo Morales, is wagering its tokens on the division of the country, in a separatist movement of a fascist character.

This week, the notion that common decency and legality bear more importance than the rule of the mob, the precept that the rule of law holds more sway than the law of the jungle, were all dealt a deadly blow by a handful of nations which in a moment of madness, swept away centuries of progress towards building an international community based upon a global state of law.

There is talk and much written about the guerrillas of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia - almost always slanderous - and little about the guerrilla. Most Europeans are unaware that thousands of women are fighting in 60 Fronts in which FARC is fighting in that country. I met many in 2001, lived for weeks in an Amazonian camp of the revolutionary organization. How will I convey in short space of a chronicle, which for me was my contact with these new types of guerrillas?

Two U.S. airplanes have violated Iran's airspace in the southwestern province of Khuzestan. The airplanes trespassed Iranian airspace from the northwest of Abadan, Khuzestan province, and disappeared from its southwest, said Colonel Aqili, commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps in Abadan.
