The Japanese government on Sunday confirmed that a decapitated body found in Iraq is that of a Japanese hostage taken hostage by Islamic militants earlier this week.

Earlier, Tanigawa told a press conference in Amman he would go to Kuwait to fly with the body to Tokyo.
Koda was the first Japanese national killed in Iraq amid a wave of kidnappings, says Channel News Asia.
